Cardiac Telemetry RN — Independence, Missouri

13-Week Contract | Days | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed

This cardiac telemetry unit is a fast-paced, high-acuity environment caring for a diverse cardiac and neurological patient population. Nurses here manage post-cath recovery (no sheath removal), pacemaker placement patients, stroke patients, and patients on continuous drips including amiodarone and Cardizem.

Shift Details

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (Saturday & Sunday for days)

Required Skills & Certifications

• Active ACLS certification
• Experience with post-cath patients (no sheath removal)
• Comfort managing pacemaker placement patients, stroke patients, and vasoactive/antiarrhythmic drips

Preferred

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) experience

Float Expectations

Travelers may float to other telemetry departments, med-surg, or PCU as needed.

Dress Code

Grey scrubs for RNs.
