Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Roanoke, VA
This 13-week contract places you in a freestanding emergency department setting managing both high- and low-acuity patients across the full ED spectrum. Night shift hours run 19:00–07:00, with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
Unit & Clinical Scope
- Mixed-acuity emergency department caring for critically ill and lower-acuity patients
- Typical procedures include medication administration, lab collection, and critical patient management
- Candidates must be comfortable working independently as well as within a small, collaborative team
Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period
- 36 guaranteed hours/week
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Start date: October 26, 2026
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- TNCC
Preferred
- ENPC certification
Requirements
- Prior ED nursing experience required; must demonstrate ability to manage critically ill patients
- Strong independent practice skills with a team-oriented mindset
Dress Code
- Navy blue scrubs
