Med-Surg RN – Night Shift | Salem, VA

13-Week Contract | 36 Guaranteed Hours/Week

This night shift Med-Surg opportunity is ideal for a travel RN with a strong post-operative background and a passion for patient advocacy. The unit provides care for surgical patients requiring close monitoring, wound management, and drain maintenance in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 hours/week guaranteed

Clinical Scope

• Post-operative patient care and monitoring
• Wound care and dressing changes
• Drain management
• IV therapy

Required Certification

• BLS (mandatory — candidates without this will not be considered)

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with post-operative patient populations
• Proficiency in wound care, dressing changes, and drain management

Ideal Candidate

• Team-oriented with a positive, collaborative attitude
• Strong patient advocate
• Comfortable working at a fast pace with an organized, detail-oriented approach

Dress Code

• Navy blue and/or white scrubs
• No hoodies, pullovers, or T-shirts
