This travel RN opportunity is on an inpatient Medical/Surgical Oncology unit in Richmond, Virginia. The unit cares for oncology patients requiring chemotherapy administration and general medical-surgical nursing management.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 07:00–19:00
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 4 weekend shifts required per scheduling period (Saturday and Sunday)
- Float as needed
Unit Support
- 2 PCTs available per shift
- Unit Secretary present during day shift
- Mobile phones used for communication with staff, physicians, and patients
Patient Experience Standards
- Whiteboard use and bedside shift report
- Hourly safety rounds
- Key Words at Key Times communication model
Requirements
- RN with a Medical/Surgical background required
- Chemotherapy administration experience preferred
- No additional specialty certifications required
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
