Clinical Scope
The OR handles a wide spectrum of surgical specialties, including:
- Orthopedic trauma and general orthopedics
- Spine and neurosurgery
- Gynecology and urology
- General, vascular, and robotic surgery
- Pediatric surgery, ENT, plastics, and podiatry
- Oral/maxillofacial, dental, and eye trauma
First assist candidates must be comfortable scrubbing and assisting across multiple service lines, including advanced robotic-assisted procedures.
Schedule & Hours
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Call required; flexible scheduling expected
Requirements
- Active certification: CSTFA, CFA, or RNFA
- Demonstrated first-assist experience across orthopedic, spine, neuro, and general surgery
- Robotic surgery experience strongly preferred
- Ability to float as needed

- Contract length: 13 weeks

- Scrubs provided by the facility
- Unit support staff (secretaries and surgical techs) on site
