Emergency Department RN – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

Join the facility's Emergency Department as a contract RN for a 13-week assignment. This is a backfill role supporting a fast-paced, high-acuity ED environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekends: Rotating
• Call Requirements: None
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

The Emergency Department manages a diverse patient population across multiple care areas, including general emergency, behavioral health, cardiac, and trauma cases. You'll work alongside experienced nursing staff, paramedics, and support personnel in a collaborative environment.

Clinical Scope

You'll perform or assist with:

• Trauma resuscitation and trauma assists
• Central line placement and airway support
• EKGs and continuous cardiac monitoring
• Rapid infuser and blood product administration
• Behavioral health de-escalation
• Splinting and wound care
• NIHSS assessments

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certification

Preferred Experience

• Trauma or ED experience
• Inpatient holding/admission experience
• Familiarity with electronic charting systems
• CPI certification
