Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
Richmond, Virginia | 13-Week Contract
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (36 guaranteed hours/week)
About the Unit
Join a high-performing Labor & Delivery team recognized for excellence in maternal care. The unit manages a full spectrum of obstetric services including labor, delivery, recovery, , and antepartum care, with in-house 24/7 coverage by hospitalists, midwives, anesthesia, and neonatology.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct care during labor, delivery, and recovery
- Circulate for cesarean sections and support 1st-hour newborn care
- Assist with breastfeeding and patient education
- Monitor patients in and antepartum settings
- Use modern clinical technology to deliver safe, family-centered care
Required Qualifications
- Current Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification (within past 2 years)
- Active Labor & Delivery experience
- Current NRP and BLS certifications
- RN license (Virginia)
Preferred
- Experience in high-volume obstetric settings (3000+ births annually)
Unit Details
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs, closed shoes; tattoos and piercings must be covered
