Cardiovascular Operating Room – CVOR
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll join a dynamic surgical team in a high-acuity environment performing complex cardiac and vascular procedures.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: Monday–Thursday, 06:30–17:00 (4 x 10-hour shifts)
- On-Call: Weekend call required
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Start Date: December 29, 2025
Clinical Scope
This unit manages five operating rooms specializing in complex cardiac and vascular surgery, including:
- Open and endovascular vascular procedures
- Advanced cardiac cases: Type A dissections, thoracoabdominal approaches, CABGs, valve replacements (AVR/MVR), VSD repair, Impella/ECMO insertion, aortic repairs, thoracic robotic cases, and TAVRs
You'll scrub and circulate across a variety of high-complexity cases in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years exclusive CVOR experience in cardiac and vascular surgery
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to work under pressure and thrive in emergencies
- Strong team collaboration skills
Float Assignments
You may float to the main OR, Cath Lab, or Interventional Radiology as needed.
