Intermediate Care Unit RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Intermediate Care Unit. You'll provide direct patient care on a 3×12-hour night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), working weekdays plus every other weekend. This is a 13-week contract with guaranteed hours.
Unit & Patient Population
Clinical Skills Required
- Strong IMC and/or ICU experience
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Ventilator management
- Arterial line, central line, and chest tube management
- Tracheostomy care
- Cardiac and vasoactive drip management (non-titration preferred)
- Telemetry monitoring
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years RN experience; 1 year in specialty required
- BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
- WV or Compact RN License (pending acceptable for submission; must be active at start)
- Permanent address within 100 miles of the facility
Scheduling
- Guaranteed 36 or 48 hours per week (negotiable)
- Float required within scope to meet facility needs
- Orientation held every other Thursday
- Open to block schedule requests
What to Expect
No call requirement. Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); medical exemptions reviewed. Submit complete documentation by noon Monday prior to your start date.
