Travel RN – Cardiovascular/Medical Telemetry | Nights | Charleston, WV

Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: 4x12 Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

Unit Overview

This cardiovascular/medical telemetry unit cares for adult and geriatric patients across pulmonary, cardiac, and general medicine diagnoses. The floor operates as a full telemetry unit with centralized monitoring supported by a dedicated monitoring technician. The team uses a collaborative nursing model with IV team support available.

Patient Population & Scope

• Adult and geriatric medical, cardiac, and pulmonary patients
• Monitored beds for pulmonary and cardiac cases
• Common medications include Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
• Skills in dysrhythmia interpretation and management are essential

Schedule & Float

• 4x12 nights; every other weekend required
• May float to similar telemetry units as needed
• Orientation held every other Thursday
• Blocking of schedules cannot be guaranteed; holiday RTO limited to one of the three major holidays

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Cardiac telemetry/telemetry unit experience required
• Active WV or Compact RN license (pending license accepted for submission)
• BLS and ACLS required (AHA-issued)
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility (75–99 miles considered case-by-case)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted with documentation); COVID-19 vaccine not required
