Medical-Surgical RN — Travel Contract | Morgantown, WV

Shift: Nights, 3x12 (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Weekdays and Weekends

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Extension possible

About the Unit

This acute medical-surgical unit manages adult patients across a wide range of diagnoses and acuity levels. The team is known for strong collaboration, evidence-based practice, and a culture of teamwork and mutual respect. Robust interdisciplinary support is available, including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, social services, and phlebotomy.

Clinical Scope

Nurses on this unit routinely manage patients with conditions and needs including:

• CVA, TBI, spinal cord injury, post-neurosurgery, and post-MI care
• Renal failure, pre/post hemodialysis management, and substance withdrawal
• Bariatric surgery, total joint replacement, and ortho trauma
• Chest tube, tracheostomy, feeding tube, and colostomy/ileostomy management
• BiPAP/CPAP, PCA, IV insulin protocols, PICC line management, and wound care/wound VAC
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management; ABG interpretation

Requirements

• Active WV or Compact RN license (pending accepted at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (all AHA-issued)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility
• Scrubs: Not provided

Important — Attendance Policy

The facility enforces a strict attendance standard. A maximum of 2–3 call-offs will be tolerated for the duration of the contract. Please factor this in before applying.
