Operating Room RN – Travel Contract | Rochester, NY

Shift: Days, 4x10-hour shifts (11:00–21:30)

Contract Duration: 56 weeks

Start Date: November 2, 2026

This high-volume OR position serves a diverse surgical caseload requiring broad scrub and circulating proficiency across multiple service lines. Candidates must bring strong experience in several of the following specialty areas:

• Orthopedics/Spine: Total joint replacement, trauma, spinal fusions (ALIF, XLIF, cervical), arthroscopy, fracture repair
• Neurosurgery: Craniotomy, VP shunt insertion, laminectomy/discectomy
• Vascular: AAA repair, endovascular aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, femoral-popliteal bypass, vein stripping
• Thoracic: Thoracotomy, VATS, lobe/lung resection, mediastinoscopy
• GYN/Urology: Hysterectomy, laparoscopic gynecological procedures, cystectomy, prostatectomy, TURP
• General/Bariatric: Gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, Whipple, cholecystectomy, colon resection
• ENT/Plastics/Podiatry: Laryngectomy, radical neck dissection, free flap reconstruction, bunionectomy

Requirements:

• Active NY RN license (required at time of submission)
• BLS and CNOR required
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience; prior travel experience required
• Phlebotomy and IV placement competency is mandatory
• Floating may be required
• On-call is required
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible
• RTO requests should be minimal (no more than 10 days per contract)

This position is best suited for an experienced OR traveler comfortable across multiple surgical specialties in a fast-paced environment.
