Operating Room RN — Travel Contract | Rochester, NY

Shift: Days, 4x10-hour shifts (11:00–21:30)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: November 2, 2026

Specialty: Surgical Services / Operating Room

This high-volume OR position serves a diverse surgical program spanning multiple specialties. Candidates must bring broad scrub and circulating experience across several service lines.

Required Specialties:

• Orthopedic & Spine: total joint replacement, trauma, spinal fusions, ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy
• Neurosurgery: craniotomy, VP shunt insertion, laminectomy/discectomy
• Vascular: aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, endovascular aneurysm repair, femoral-popliteal bypass
• Thoracic: thoracotomy, VATS, lobe/lung resection, mediastinoscopy
• GYN/Urology: hysterectomy, laparoscopic GYN, cystectomy, prostatectomy, TURP
• General & Bariatric: gastric bypass, sleeve, Whipple, colon resection, cholecystectomy

Requirements:

• Active NY RN license (in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 3 years OR experience; prior travel experience required
• BLS and CNOR required
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement
• Electronic health record proficiency required

Additional Details:

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• RTO requests should be minimal (10-day maximum per contract)
• Block scheduling will be attempted but is not guaranteed
• Pre-start orientation modules required (up to 10 hours; partial compensation applies)
