Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Acute Care Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking registered nurses for its medical-surgical and telemetry acute care units. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment, managing acuity ranging from stable to moderate complexity with telemetry monitoring capabilities.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (night shift)
- 36 or 48 hours per week (your choice)
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage as needed
- 13-week contract
Clinical Details
- Patient population: Medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Float assignments to other units/hospitals as operationally needed
- Solid navy scrubs required
Requirements
- License: Registered Nurse (Alabama state or compact license; temporary licenses not accepted)
- Education: Associate degree in nursing
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (or 18 months with at least 1 year recent experience in field)
- Certifications Required: AHA BLS, Red Cross
- Certifications Preferred: ACLS
