Registered Nurse – Telemetry
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (nights)
Contract Duration: 9 weeks
Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week
Location: Los Angeles, CA
About the Role
You'll deliver coordinated nursing care to a patient or assigned group on a telemetry unit, managing cardiac monitoring and post-acute patients. In this charge nurse role, you'll supervise and direct assigned nursing staff, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and use critical thinking and professional judgment to guide care decisions.
Your Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze patient health data to determine diagnoses and care issues
- Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans that achieve desired patient outcomes
- Foster a safe, healing, and caring environment
- Supervise and coordinate duties of healthcare team members
- Provide education to patients, families, and team members
- Participate in discharge planning for continuity of care
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care nursing experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- ACLS certification required
- Electronic health record (EHR) experience required
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification required
This is a night shift assignment with guaranteed hours. Holiday requests will not be approved during the contract term.
