Emergency Room RN — Freestanding Emergency Department | McAllen, TX

Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

This opportunity is based in a freestanding emergency department in the McAllen, TX area. The unit manages a broad range of emergency presentations, including stroke response and moderate sedation procedures. The environment is fast-paced and team-driven, requiring strong clinical judgment and collaborative communication.

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of emergency department experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• NRP certification
• Additional TNCC proficiency

What to Expect:

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekend schedule
• Float coverage within the freestanding ED
• Royal blue scrubs required

Clinical Scope:

The unit handles acute and emergent cases including stroke protocols and procedural moderate sedation. Candidates should be comfortable working in a high-energy environment managing undifferentiated emergency patients across varying acuity levels.
