Labor & Delivery RN — Night Shift | Rochester, NY
This Labor & Delivery position is based in Rochester, NY, supporting a dedicated L&D unit through night shifts. The role involves caring for laboring patients across varying acuity levels, with additional float coverage to mother/baby, newborn nursery, and the OR (circulating) as clinical needs arise.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 or 48 hours available per week
- 1 weekend shift per week, or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend
- Must work at least 1 holiday per contract
- Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
Contract Details
- Duration: 16 weeks or longer
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Non-U.S. candidates must have at least 2 years of U.S. work experience
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Active New York RN license
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- C-EFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
Float Requirements
May float to mother/baby, newborn nursery, or the OR (circulating role) based on unit needs.
Candidates must be flexible and adaptable to the facility's scheduling demands throughout the contract.
