Travel RN – Telemetry | Wichita, KS
This is a 13-week travel contract on a surgical/telemetry unit, working day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
The Unit
The facility's surgical/telemetry floor cares for a mixed medical-surgical and cardiac population. Nurses manage central lines, medication drips, chest tubes, and heart catheterization recovery, including bubble studies. The unit sees both routine telemetry monitoring and higher-acuity cardiac patients requiring closer observation.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of current, hospital-based Telemetry experience
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong independent critical thinking skills and a positive, engaged bedside manner
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Familiarity with cardiac monitoring and post-procedural care
