Labor & Delivery RN — Night Shift | Sioux City, IA | 13-Week Contract
This travel RN opportunity is on a high-acuity Labor & Delivery unit managing high-risk obstetric patients in a busy, high-volume environment. The unit handles a significant delivery volume, requiring nurses who are clinically confident and adaptable.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 12-hour nights | 36 hours/week
- Every third weekend required
- Travelers must be available to work 2 of 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day
Clinical Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- High-risk obstetric experience required
- Circulating experience required
- Experience in a high-volume delivery setting (200–300+ deliveries/month) within the past year
- High-acuity experience required
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active Iowa RN license (must be reflected in Nursys at time of submission)
- BLS (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Additional Details
- All candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (verified by driver's license)
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Start date: November 9, 2026
- Multiple completed travel contracts preferred
