ICU Registered Nurse — Travel Contract

Lexington, KY | Nights | 13 Weeks

Join an intensive care unit delivering high-acuity, comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients. This night-shift travel position offers a dynamic clinical environment where skilled critical care nurses can make an immediate impact.

Schedule

• 3×12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekends and holidays as needed

Clinical Scope

The ICU manages complex, critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced life support. Key responsibilities include:

• Continuous hemodynamic monitoring and rapid response to changes in patient condition
• Administration and titration of vasoactive and sedation drips
• Management of ventilators, arterial lines, and central venous access
• Code and rapid response team participation
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with intensivists and the broader care team
• Patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and care planning
• Accurate, thorough clinical documentation

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (Kentucky or applicable compact state)
• ADN/ASN required; BSN preferred
• BLS required; ACLS required
• CCRN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/critical care experience
• Proficiency with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and titratable drip protocols
