CVOR Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
Join the facility's Cardiothoracic Operating Room (CVOR) team as a Registered Nurse. This role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you'll work alongside experienced surgical nurses and technologists to support complex cardiac and vascular procedures.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (36 guaranteed hours per week)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- On-Call: Average 4–5 days per month
- Weekend Coverage: 1 weekend per month
- Floating: May float to the main operating room as needed
Clinical Scope
The unit performs a range of open-heart and vascular surgeries, including:
- Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
- Valve replacement
- Carotid endarterectomy
- ECMO management
- Lower extremity bypass
- Angiograms and fistula procedures
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proven open-heart and vascular surgery experience
- Operating room experience (must-have skill set)
