Labor & Delivery RN — Night Shift | The Woodlands, TX

Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, every other weekend | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week | Start Date: November 9, 2026

This active Labor & Delivery unit manages 160–200 births per month and follows AWHONN staffing guidelines. RNs circulate and perform their own C-sections, supported by surgical techs on the unit. OB/neonatology and anesthesia are in-house 24/7, and respiratory support equipment is available on the floor.

Unit Scope:

• Labor & Delivery, , and postpartum patient populations
• RNs read and interpret their own fetal monitoring strips independently
• Occasional float to mother-baby (rare)
• Charge nurse carries no patient assignment

Schedule & Expectations:

• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Modified self-scheduling
• Unit-specific orientation provided
• Scrubs: Royal blue

Required Certifications:

• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN)

Cancellation Policy: Up to 4 shifts may be cancelled over a 13-week contract.

Candidates must hold an active Texas RN license (or compact equivalent) prior to submission. BSN not required.
