Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its PICU night shift. This is a 13-week contract position working three 12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00).
About the Role
Float within the PICU is required and may include assignment to related critical care units as census dictates. You will be notified of float assignments at the start of your shift.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience (first-time travelers welcome with this experience requirement)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Valid Ohio nursing license (single-state or compact license accepted)
- Fully vaccinated (no exceptions)
- Current supervisor reference within the past 2 years
- Clean license history (no previous license hits)
Scheduling & Time Off
- Block scheduling available for weekend-only requests (Friday–Sunday)
- RTO (Requested Time Off): Maximum 5 days; must be submitted at time of application
- Minimum 2 holiday shifts required over the contract
- Every other weekend (EOW) is required
Additional Notes
Previous employees of the facility are ineligible for 1 year from their termination date. An additional background check and fingerprinting will be completed on your first day.
