Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a PICU nurse for a 13-week day shift assignment. You'll provide direct care to critically ill pediatric patients in a high-census environment requiring experienced, adaptable clinical skills.
Shift & Schedule
- 4 x 12-hour day shifts: 07:00–19:00
- Every other weekend required
- Blocked schedules available if willing to work all weekends
- Minimum 2 holidays required during contract
- RTO requests (maximum 5 days) must be submitted at time of application
Clinical Details
- Patient population: Infants, children, and adolescents in critical condition
- Float required between PICU and CICU based on census needs
- High current census with infrequent floating; travelers are first to float if census drops
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years PICU experience with CICU exposure
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Valid Ohio or compact state license
- Supervisor reference from within the past 2 years
- Fully vaccinated (no exceptions)
- Clean background with no license hits
