LTAC Med-Surg / Telemetry — Travel RN

Travelers Rest, SC | Nights | 13-Week Contract

This LTAC Med-Surg/Telemetry position offers night shift coverage on a unit caring for adult and geriatric patients requiring long-term acute care. The unit manages a daily census of approximately 15 patients with complex, high-acuity diagnoses.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12 or 4x12 nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required; schedule may vary based on unit needs
• Floating to other qualified units may be required based on census

Clinical Scope

Candidates should be comfortable with a broad range of skills, including:

• Arterial line management, central line care, and PICC line management
• Ventilator management and weaning, tracheostomy care, and suctioning
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs; management of antiarrhythmics, vasopressors, and IV insulin drips
• Anticoagulation therapy, thrombolytics, and reversal agents
• Complex wound care, ostomy care, and tube feedings
• Stroke scale assessment, CVA, TBI, and spinal cord injury care
• CHF, renal failure, GI bleed, pulmonary embolism, and pancreatitis management

Required Certifications & Licensure

• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Active South Carolina RN license

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in LTAC MS/Tele, Med-Surg, or PCU
• Charting system proficiency: 1 year minimum required
• First-time travelers will be considered based on clinical experience

Orientation

• 24-hour orientation; pre-assignment modules required (up to 16 billable hours)
• Flu vaccine required; no exemptions accepted
