PACU – Day Shift (3x12-hour)

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced RN for its post-operative recovery unit. You'll provide skilled care to diverse surgical patients across multiple specialties in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 3x12-hour (8:00 AM – 8:30 PM)
• Weekends: Some required
• On-Call: Weeknight call (11 PM–7 AM) and 1–2 weekend calls (7 AM–7 PM or 7 PM–7 AM) every 2 months
• Floating: Yes – you'll support multiple surgical specialties
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 3, 2026

Requirements

• Active California RN License (must be current at submission; no pending or temporary licenses)
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience with prior ICU or ED background required
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• First-time travelers welcome with 2+ years of PACU experience
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• 2 references from a supervisor or higher within the past year

Patient Care

Clinical Focus

Airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, pain management, post-operative assessment, and discharge planning.

Note: No scheduling requests can be accommodated. No time off during the first 2 weeks.
