Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Rochester, NY | 13-Week Contract

This fast-paced, combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department sees a high daily visit volume and manages the full spectrum of emergency acuity. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including rapid response, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and interpretation services.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3×12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Float to other units when census warrants
• Minimal time-off requests preferred during contract

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• New grads not eligible; minimum 1 year of ED experience required
• NY state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS

Required Skills

• Combined adult/pediatric ED experience
• Phlebotomy and IV insertion (mandatory competency)
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Multisystem organ dysfunction/failure management
• Blood product administration and central line care
• IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation and paralytics
• Procedural sedation administration
• CVA management, emergency medications, isolation precautions
• BiPAP/CPAP management, 12-lead EKG acquisition
• Psychiatric hold and suicidal patient management
