Emergency Room RN — Rochester, NY | 13-Week Contract

This mid-shift emergency department position supports a high-volume, combined adult and pediatric ED. The unit manages a broad patient population across all age groups — neonates through geriatrics — with a wide range of acuity and diagnoses.

Shift: Mid 3x12-Hour (15:00–03:00) | Every other weekend required

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: November 2, 2026

Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS

Clinical Scope & Skills Required:

• Combined adult/pediatric emergency care
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Blood product administration
• Central line care and management
• Continuous IV sedation and IV paralytics
• IV vasopressors and emergency medications
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• CVA management
• Phlebotomy and IV insertion (mandatory competency)
• BiPAP/CPAP management, 12-lead EKG acquisition
• Psychiatric holds, suicidal patient care, drug overdose management
• Isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Details:

• Minimum 1 year of ED experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• New York RN license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Electronic charting experience required
• Float required when census warrants
• Scrub color: Any combination of navy and white
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Minimal requested time off preferred; no more than 10 days RTO per contract
• Orientation: 16 hours; pre-start modules required
