NICU RN – Night Shift

Position Details

• Shift: Night, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start: ASAP
• Unit: Level III NICU
• Schedule: Every other weekend; additional shifts may be needed to meet unit census
• Float: May float to Mother Baby (full float if couplet care experience available)
• Call: No call required

About the Role

Clinical Scope

You'll manage complex neonatal conditions including prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and hypoglycemia. Procedures and skills include central line placement and management, PICC line care, intubation assistance, lumbar puncture support, phototherapy, thermoregulation, ventilator management (conventional and high-frequency), blood product administration, and medication titration (dopamine, dobutamine, fentanyl, versed).

Requirements

• 2 years nursing experience; minimum 1 year in NICU specialty
• Current BCLS, NRP (Advanced preferred; willing to obtain before start accepted), and PALS
• Valid compact state license
• Comfortable with high-acuity patient care and clinical decision-making
• Willingness to commit to 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
