Surgical Circulator — Operating Room | Oakland, CA

Day Shift | 3x12-Hour (07:00–19:30) | 13-Week Contract

This OR Circulator role supports a high-volume surgical environment performing a broad range of procedures across multiple specialties. The position is days with every-other-weekend coverage and on-call as needed.

Clinical Scope

The OR team manages a comprehensive surgical caseload including:

• ENT, endoscopy, and oral/maxillofacial procedures
• General surgery (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, bowel resection)
• GYN (laparoscopic and open hysterectomy, BTL, D&C)
• Neurosurgery (craniotomy, spinal fusion, laminectomy, VP shunt placement)
• Orthopedics and spine (total joint replacement, ALIF, XLIF, arthroscopy)
• Plastics and reconstructive (mastectomy with reconstruction, free flap, fat grafting)
• Urology, ophthalmology, and vascular cases

Required Certifications & Licensure

• ACLS, BLS
• Valid California RN license (required at time of submission)

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of OR Circulator experience
• Strong scrub and circulating skills across multiple surgical specialties
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Scheduling Details

• Every-other-weekend availability required
• On-call as needed
• Float within the surgical department as needed
• Scrub color: per facility standard
