Cath Lab RN

Cardiac Cath Lab — Travel RN / Tech | Carmichael, CA

Contract: 91 weeks | Shift: 4 x 10-hour days, Monday–Friday, 0700–1700 | Start Date: November 10, 2026

This role supports a busy Cardiac Cath Lab and IR unit performing approximately 8 cases per day across two procedure suites. The position involves both scheduled daytime shifts and a required on-call component.

Clinical Scope

• Cath Lab: Full range of cardiac invasive procedures (structural heart excluded); peripheral procedures including carotid, A/V grafts, EVAR, peripheral diagnostics and intervention
• IR: Peripheral procedures — carotid, A/V grafts, EVAR, peripheral diagnostics and intervention; clean procedures only (no PEGs, G-tubes, nephrostomy tubes, etc.)
• Candidates who do not scrub will be considered

Schedule & Call

• Monday–Friday, 0700–1700
• Call required: minimum every other weekend, Friday 1530 through Monday 0700
• Average of 12 call days per month (up to 18 depending on staffing)
• 30-minute call response time required
• Holiday call on a rotating, assigned basis
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week; hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
• ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
• Active applicable license required
• BSN not required

Additional Details

• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Orientation: 1–2 shifts based on skill level
• No floating required
• Prior to contract start, a dysrhythmia competency exam must be completed and passed (two attempts allowed)
