A busy Labor & Delivery unit in Asheville, NC is seeking an experienced L&D RN for a 13-week travel contract beginning October 2026. This is a high-acuity unit managing the full spectrum of obstetric care, from routine vaginal deliveries to complex, high-risk cases.
Clinical Scope & Procedures
- Vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-Hyst
- High-risk obstetric care and immediate newborn stabilization
- Electronic fetal monitoring management
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience — required
- High-risk L&D experience — required
- Immediate newborn care competency — required
- Circulating experience — preferred
Required Certifications
- NRP
- BLS or ACLS
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring
Unit Details
- Float areas include: MFM/High-Risk OB, Postpartum, and NICU
- No required weekend or on-call commitments (available upon approval)
- Scrubs provided by the facility
