Travel RN – Respiratory Med-Surg | Zanesville, OH

Nights | 13-Week Contract | Start Date: November 16

This night-shift opportunity is on a respiratory medical-surgical unit focused on the care of adult patients with pulmonary disease. The unit manages a high-acuity, complex patient population with rapid turnover and varying levels of care needs, including patients requiring continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring.

Shift Details

• 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 36 hours/week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week contract

Clinical Scope

• Comprehensive adult medical-surgical and respiratory nursing care
• Continuous telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
• Float as needed to similar units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarder areas

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience
• Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips — competency assessment conducted on Day 1
• Proficiency with a major electronic medical records system is mandatory; no training or orientation to the system is provided, and lack of proficiency is grounds for immediate termination

Important Notes

• Start date of November 16 is firm for first-time travelers to this facility; returning travelers within 9 months may have flexibility
• All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of submission
• Only one submission per traveler per specialty will be accepted
