Orthopedic RN — Night Shift | Asheville, NC

This 13-week contract places you on an inpatient orthopedic unit caring for a diverse surgical and post-operative patient population. The unit operates at a brisk pace and values nurses who bring both clinical skill and genuine compassion to their work.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Must start no later than February 9, 2026

Clinical Scope

The unit manages orthopedic patients across the post-operative continuum. Common procedures include:

• Dressing changes and suture/staple removal
• Foley catheter insertion and management
• NG tube placement
• Wound VAC maintenance and removal

Float Requirements

Floating to other Med-Surg units may be required.

Requirements

• Active North Carolina RN license
• BLS certification
• Prior hospital experience preferred
• Orthopedic experience strongly preferred

Dress Code

• RNs: Navy scrubs

You're a team player who adapts quickly in a fast-paced environment and approaches every patient interaction with care and attentiveness. Ortho experience will set your application apart, but a strong med-surg background is a solid foundation.
