Fetal Echo Sonographer
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Fetal Echo Sonographer to join the diagnostic imaging team. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position focused exclusively on fetal echocardiography. You'll work day shifts (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM) with no call, no weekends, and normal business hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive fetal echocardiograms using high-frequency ultrasound and advanced diagnostic techniques
- Obtain and review patient history and clinical data to support accurate diagnosis
- Acquire high-quality images using 2D optimization and 3D manipulation techniques
- Provide oral summaries of findings to interpreting physicians and prepare preliminary written reports
- Prepare patients for exams and explain procedures clearly
- Collaborate with reading faculty, fetal radiologists, maternal-fetal medicine physicians, and surgical teams
- Support fellows, visitors, and new staff with technical guidance and teaching
- Participate in clinical research related to prenatal cardiovascular disease; measure and analyze echocardiographic data for research projects
- Assist with fetal surgical procedures in clinical and operating room settings as needed
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a related field
- ARDMS Fetal Echocardiography (RDCS-FE) certification
- ARDMS Pediatric (PE) certification
- Minimum 2 years' experience in pediatric or fetal echocardiography
- Current state license (Ohio)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience with fetal cardiac ultrasound systems
Contract Details
- 13-week assignment
- 4 × 10-hour shifts, days only
- No float required; no on-call responsibilities
