Inpatient Acute Care Rehabilitation RN — Greensboro, NC

13-Week Travel Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts (07:00–19:30)

This inpatient rehabilitation unit provides specialized nursing care for adults and geriatric patients recovering from complex neurological and post-surgical conditions, including stroke (CVA), traumatic brain injury (TBI), anoxic brain injury (ABI), spinal cord injury, and generalized debility.

Shift & Scheduling

• Days, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every 3rd weekend required; holidays as needed
• Float between multiple campuses may be required

Clinical Responsibilities

• Laboratory result interpretation and medication reconciliation
• Vital signs assessment, patient health history, and allergy documentation
• Dressing changes; setup of aseptic/sterile procedure trays
• Specimen collection: capillary draws, phlebotomy, throat and clean-catch urine
• Telephone and pharmacy/refill coordination
• Dysrhythmia interpretation (EKG competency exam required — 2 attempts allowed)

Patient Population & Ratios

• Adults and geriatric patients with neurological diagnoses and post-operative rehabilitation needs

Interdisciplinary Support Available

IV therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response, and interpretation services

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of acute care rehab experience; no first-time travelers
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS required
• Electronic charting experience required
• EKG/dysrhythmia interpretation competency required
• No local candidates within 50 miles
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Pre-approved time off must be submitted with application
