About the Unit
You'll work in a Medical/Surgical Cardiovascular unit managing patients across the acuity spectrum. The unit focuses on post-procedural care, cardiac monitoring, and medical management of cardiovascular patients. Telemetry monitoring with remote capabilities supports patient safety.
Your Responsibilities
- Start peripheral IVs; IV team available for complex placements
- Deliver direct patient care on a unit without drip titrations
- Monitor telemetry and respond to arrhythmias
- Collaborate with lab services (blood draws handled by lab)
- Document in the electronic health record
- Scope excludes EKG performance and sheath discontinuation
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification via Nursys required)
- ACLS or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Standard immunizations and health screening per facility protocol
- Ability to work nights and every other weekend
