Medical-Surgical Nursing Position
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call duties
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
Unit Overview
You'll provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit. Be prepared to float to similar units on the same campus or other campuses within Wichita as needed.
Required Credentials & Licenses
- Current RN license (verify via Nursys)
- License/Certificate Verification
Required Competencies
- EKG interpretation
- Core nursing competencies
- Skills Checklist completion prior to start
Pre-Placement & Onboarding Requirements
Standard health screenings and vaccinations required for onboarding, including:
- MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine
- TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Fit test
- Color vision screening
- Drug screening (11-panel)
- Background check
- EPLS certification
