Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN — Travel Contract

Greensboro, NC | Days | 13 Weeks

This tele-capable unit primarily serves an adult and geriatric Medical/Surgical population. All RNs are required to pass an EKG competency exam during onboarding (two attempts permitted).

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required; holidays as needed
• Float to other campuses required when census is low

Patient Population

• General Medical/Surgical and observation patients
• Respiratory conditions
• Palliative, end-of-life, and hospice patients
• Psychiatric observation
• New-onset and complex diabetes
• Pre- and post-operative surgical patients

Required Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Blood product administration
• PICC and peripheral line care
• Chest tube management
• Feeding tube care
• Pre/post hemodialysis management; renal failure experience
• Wound care and wound vac
• Surgical drain management
• Rapid Response/Code team participation

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years RN experience required; first-time travelers welcome
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS required
• EKG exam must be passed during onboarding
• Charge RN experience preferred
• No local candidates within 50 miles
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Request for time off must be submitted with application; no post-submission RTO accepted
• 48-hour orientation; non-billable compliance modules average 2–4 hours

Contract Duration: 13 weeks
