Inpatient Rehabilitation RN — Night Shift | Greensboro, NC

13-Week Contract | Nights 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3x12-Hour Shifts

This inpatient rehabilitation unit provides specialized nursing care for adults and geriatric patients recovering from neurological and surgical events, including CVA, TBI, acquired brain injury (ABI), spinal cord injury, post-aneurysm, and generalized debility. The unit is supported by a full interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, IV teams, pharmacy, social services, rapid response, and phlebotomy.

Shift & Scheduling

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every 3rd weekend required; holidays as needed
• Float required to other system campuses as needed

Clinical Responsibilities

• Vital signs assessment, laboratory result interpretation, and medication reconciliation
• Patient history, allergy review, and health questionnaire documentation
• Dressing changes and aseptic/sterile procedure tray setup
• Specimen collection and labeling (capillary, throat, urine), phlebotomy
• Telephone , pharmacy coordination, and patient refill requests
• EKG/dysrhythmia interpretation

Patient Ratios

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of acute care rehab experience required
• No first-time travelers
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS required
• EKG competency exam required (2 attempts allowed)
• EMR experience required
• No candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Pre-approved time off must be submitted with application; no post-submission requests accepted
