Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Location: Weatherford, TX
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Assignment: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
About the Role
The facility's Labor & Delivery unit is seeking an experienced RN to join a dedicated team providing comprehensive care across labor, delivery, recovery, and immediate newborn care. You'll work in a supportive environment with 4 LDRs and participate in the full spectrum of L&D nursing—from labor management and induction support to operative delivery and golden hour newborn care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled labor and delivery nursing care, including Pitocin management
- Deliver immediate newborn care and support during the critical golden hour
- Circulate during cesarean sections and provide PACU recovery support
- Document care using the facility's electronic system
- Deliver patient-centered care with clear communication and bedside shift reporting
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses not accepted)
- 2+ years of hospital-based Labor & Delivery experience
- BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certification
- Ability to circulate cesarean sections
Preferred Skills
- Ability to scrub cesarean sections
- Electronic medical record experience
Unit Details
- Floating: No floating required
- Call/Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend; no additional call required
- Scrubs: Provided by the facility
- Dress Code: Professional appearance required; visible piercings (other than ears) are not permitted; tattoos should be covered when feasible
