Cardiac Procedures Nurse — Pre/Post Op | Cedar Rapids, IA

This 13-week day-shift contract supports a non-invasive cardiology procedures unit performing TEEs, cardioversions, and stress testing. The unit operates small pre/post bays with hands-on procedural care from prep through recovery.

Shift & Schedule

• Days, 5×8-hour shifts; 7:00–7:30 AM start, ending approximately 4:30–5:00 PM
• Weekend on-call rotation: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM–2:30 PM
• May float to a Cardiac/Vascular unit
• Contractors are required to work 1–2 holidays during the contract period

Clinical Requirements

• Minimum 24 months of recent experience in pre/post op, PACU, or a cardiac/cardiology setting
• First-time travelers considered with at least 3 years of qualifying experience
• Pre/post op experience — required
• TEE experience — required
• Cardioversion experience — required
• Stress testing experience — preferred

Certifications & Licensure

• Active BLS (AHA or ARC) — required
• Active Iowa RN license — required

Candidate Requirements

• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (verified by driver's license)
• Resume must reflect 24 months of current pre/post op, cath lab, or cardiac experience
• Skills checklist specific to pre/post op, cath, or cardiac discipline required
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager within the past 24 months — preferred
