Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab professional to join the interventional cardiology team on a 13-week contract. You'll work in a busy cath lab environment supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including structural heart and electrophysiology cases.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday (4x10s)
- Random weekday off during the week
- On-call: 1–2 nights per week + every 3rd weekend (7:30 PM Friday–7:00 AM Monday)
- Must work 1–2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Provide circulating and monitoring support
- Float across Des Moines-area campuses to comparable units as needed
- Precepting and charge duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 24 months of current Cardiac Cath Lab experience
- Circulating and monitoring experience
- Active Iowa state license or multistate compact license
- AHA ACLS and BLS certifications
- Trauma Level II experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Structural heart experience
- Electrophysiology experience
- Travel experience
- Trauma Level I experience
- Scrubbing experience
Contract Details
- Start date: November 9, 2026
- Orientation dates available: 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23, 11/30, 12/7
- 13-week contract with guaranteed hours
Candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility and able to provide a professional reference from within the past 24 months.
