Progressive Care Unit (PCU) — Night Shift
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour nights
- Every other weekend/holiday rotation
- 36 or 48-hour weekly guarantee available
- 13-week contract
- Orientation dates: November 9, 23, or December 7
Unit Overview
Floating Required
You'll float to all inpatient units and the emergency department as needed. May float across local campuses within your discipline.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience
- Active Iowa or compact nursing license
- Current BLS (AHA, ARC, or US Military certificates accepted)
- Current ACLS (AHA, ARC, or US Military certificates accepted)
- Current NIHSS Certification
- Valid driver's license
- Mandatory reporter status
- Supervisory reference from the past 2 years
- First-time travelers welcome
Holiday Commitment
You'll be required to work 2 of 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Only 1 day off may be requested during November 25–29 and December 23–27.
