Pre/Post Operative Nurse — Non-Invasive Cardiology

Cedar Rapids, IA | Days | 13-Week Contract

This travel RN opportunity is based in a non-invasive cardiology unit supporting patients through TEE, cardioversions, and stress testing procedures. The unit operates with a pre/post bay setup and a procedural area, managing a moderate patient load in a structured, daytime environment.

Schedule

• 5x8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday
• Start time: 7:00–7:30 AM; end time: approximately 4:30–5:00 PM
• No call, no weekend requirements
• Holiday coverage required: 1–2 shifts across designated holidays

Clinical Requirements

• Minimum 24 months of experience in pre/post op, PACU, or cardiac/cardiology setting
• First-time travelers considered with at least 3 years of applicable experience
• TEE experience — required
• Cardioversion experience — required
• Pre/post op experience — required
• Stress testing experience — preferred

Certifications & Licensure

• Active BLS (AHA or ARC) — required
• Iowa RN license — required

Submission Requirements

• Resume reflecting 24 months of relevant pre/post op or cardiac experience
• Discipline-specific skills checklist
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, or director within the past 24 months
• Valid driver's license

Additional Notes

• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• No previous full-time or PRN employees from this health system within the past 12 months
