Labor & Delivery RN — Asheville, NC

Nights | 13-Week Contract

This Labor & Delivery position is based in Asheville, NC, offering night shift coverage (18:45–07:15) on a busy, high-acuity unit serving a diverse obstetric population.

Unit Overview

The L&D unit manages the full spectrum of obstetric care, from routine vaginal deliveries to complex, high-risk cases. The team includes charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and RNs on both day and night shifts, maintaining a close patient-to-nurse ratio appropriate for active labor and delivery environments.

Typical Procedures

• Vaginal deliveries
• Cesarean sections
• D&C
• Cerclage
• Cesarean hysterectomy (C-Hyst)

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 18:45–07:15
• Guaranteed 36 hours/week
• Weekends and on-call not required; available upon approval
• Float areas: MFM, Mother-Baby, NICU

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• High-risk obstetric experience
• Immediate newborn care proficiency
• Active NRP, BLS/ACLS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Circulating experience in the OR setting
