Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract | Knoxville, TN

Shift: Nights | 3×12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: November 2, 2026

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

About the Role

This position places you in a high-acuity Emergency Department managing a fast-paced patient volume with diverse presentations across all acuity levels. Nurses are expected to work independently, manage complex cases, and float within scope to meet unit needs as required.

Schedule & Logistics

• Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week

• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Active Tennessee RN license or valid compact license — must be in hand at time of submission; pending license not accepted
• Prior ED charting experience required for RN positions
• 2 professional references required (may be pending at submission)

Certifications Required

• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• CEN preferred, not required

Additional Details

• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Orientation includes non-billable modules averaging 2–4 hours (5-hour maximum), completed onsite and recorded by a Nurse Educator
