Emergency Room RN — Tehachapi, CA
13-Week Contract | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
This travel RN opportunity is based in a rural community emergency department serving a mountain region of Southern California. The position supports a full-service ED that cares for a broad patient population — from pediatric to adult — requiring a nurse who is comfortable managing varied acuity in a smaller-volume setting.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week (36 or 48-hour options available)
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Start date: November 16, 2026
Clinical Scope
- Emergency nursing care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
- Assessment, care planning, and evaluation using nursing process standards
- Coordination of discharge planning and patient/family education
- Supervision and delegation to supporting nursing staff
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active RN license (state of practice)
- BLS (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- PALS (AHA or ARC)
- NRP (AHA or ARC)
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care / ED experience required
- BSN preferred
- Prior experience with electronic health records required
