Registered Nurse – CCU, Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU), working night shifts.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays as scheduled
- No on-call
- Internal float as needed
Requirements
- California RN license
- BSN
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- CCRN preferred
- Background: Previous experience in med/surg, telemetry, or ED preferred
Clinical Scope
You'll care for high-acuity cardiac patients, managing:
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Arterial and central line care
- Continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Mechanical ventilation and airway management (ETT/NT suctioning)
- BiPAP/CPAP support
- Arterial blood gas interpretation
- Patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
What to Know
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Valid California license required at time of submission
- Two supervisor references preferred
- Orientation includes required modules
