Emergency Department Behavioral Health Nurse
Location: Laconia, NH
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week
Contract Duration: 89 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours weekly
About the Role
The facility's Emergency Department Behavioral Health Annex is seeking a compassionate and skilled nurse to join the team. You'll provide direct care to patients experiencing psychiatric and behavioral health crises in a fast-paced emergency setting.
What You'll Do
- Assess and monitor patients with acute psychiatric, behavioral, and substance use presentations
- Provide therapeutic nursing interventions and de-escalation techniques
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and crisis intervention specialists
- Document care and communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary team
- Maintain a safe, supportive environment for vulnerable patients
What We're Looking For
- Current RN license (NH)
- Experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing preferred
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- Strong communication and crisis management skills
- Flexibility and resilience in a dynamic environment
